Rewilding the Yard

We’re reimagining an urban yard in the Sonoran Desert as a haven for native insects, birds, and plants. This project combines ecological landscaping with citizen science to track species that move in over time.

Goals:

• Replace non-native grass with native perennials and annuals
• Provide host plants for native insects
• Monitor ecological change with photography and field notes
